Disney Dream Vacation Savings Plan

By Frances Young

When it comes to a family vacation, there are often a number of options. While this is the case, some of the best fun a family can have is on a disney dream vacation. For, while all parks in California and Florida were originally designed for children, there are also amusements and events targeted towards adults.

The toughest part of a Disney vacation is often to know which parks to visit. In most cases, a combination pass to all parks is a much better than deal than only visiting one or two parks on an individual basis. In addition, when staying at themed hotels at a park, individuals often gain early park admission, discounts at gifts shops, food and drink.

While going on vacation is an exciting prospect, planning ahead can breed even more excitement. In one case, individuals and families can work on a Disney savings account which individuals can contribute money on a daily, weekly or monthly basis with all funds going toward the purchase of park admission and hotel stays.

While the parks make for a great family vacation, timing is important. For example, individuals whom have difficulty in large crowds may want to visit the park system in Fall or Winter rather than the extremely busy months of Spring and Summer. Although, while most water parks remain open during these months, most close down during inclement weather.

In most cases, all parks are going to shut down electrical rides during stormy weather, and like Texas, storms can hit Florida, often without warning. Whereas, parks and rides can often be closed during hurricanes and high wind warnings. As such, while visiting the parks can be fun, it is important to maintain a high level of patience while on park grounds.

One thing people forget is that drinks and food are not included in the ticket price. In addition, concession stands are often rather expensive. Whereas, there are also thrill rides which may charge an extra fee in addition to the regular ticket price, just a few things to consider when budgeting a trip or setting up a savings plan.

While the parks have a lot of amusement rides and entertainment for children, most have height requirements. As such, it is often advised that individuals view this information on the Disney websites before purchasing tickets. For, once tickets are purchased, no refunds are available.

Whether going to a park in California or Florida, Disney can also be an incredible experience for single travelers. In addition, single individuals can find a number of discount lodging locations such as youth hostels and bed and breakfasts. In fact, some youth hostels may offer group outings to Disney World in which single travelers can experience the park with other travelers.

Either park system, California or Florida can be fun for singles as well as families. By planning ahead, visitors can often experience a vacation of a lifetime. Whereas, if in need of travel assistance, there are Disney representatives ready to chat with future visitors and assist with questions on each park website.
