Horse riding can make one feel very happy but physical and mental challenges come with it. To be the best therefore, you will definitely need to put in your best and may even take forever to be a good horse rider. This game of riding horses has been there all along and since it is a game like any other, it has its own rules and regulations which however are more stated, can be easily understood.

The most basic factor to begin with is to establish a relationship between you and the horse. This is elemental as a horse requires detailed one to one instructions as you ride. Horses take instructions from you as stated. This may be a bit challenging for beginners but with time you are going to learn and perfect it. In addition, you have to follow specific guidelines so as to learn easily and avoid any dangers associated with riding.

A horse riding gear which comprises of a long trouser or pant, minimal heeled shoe that fits well to stirrup and a comfortably fitting helmet is the priority as it gives you personal safety during the ride which is very key. You should at all cost avoid short pants that leaves some part of your leg in contact with the particular horse as It will rub against it during motion.

Once you are assured of your safety, mounting the animal is the next thing. You should approach the particular horse from the side, slowly, but making it aware of your presence. The left side of the animal is usually preferred as it is considered the near side. You should then climb unto the animal by putting your left, in this case your foot in the stirrup and holding the saddle with your hands. Swing your right leg over the animal and ensure you land gently.

Once you are seated, create a balance by having a straight forward look maintaining the back and shoulders in a straight angle as if seated in a chair. You should also firmly hold to the reins with your thumbs up and on that note, get ready for a ride. Start the ride by squeezing your thighs into the animal and by mentioning 'walk'. You should also move with the rhythmic movements of the horse.

To turn the horse to different directions, press your left calf into this horse to turn right; your right calf to the left. Make the animal slow down by smoothly squeezing your thighs on the horse and shouting 'whoa' and by pulling back on reins, this horse will stop.

Finally, in order to dismount the horse, take off your feet starting with the left and swing it over the animal. As you land to the ground, bend your knees to easily land. Consider the above during your lessons.
