Car racing is an extremely popular and exhilarating sport, enjoyed by thousands of countless fans. The danger, adrenalin and speed aspects of its essence are what draw only the best drivers to challenge others. The USAC sprint car racing series is one of the most enjoyed races for many.

The brightly painted vehicles are designed purposely to achieve the highest degree of competitive quality possible. Each one brighter than the next and with the entire safety feature clearly exhibited for all to see. Exposed roll bars enforce the concern for the driver's safety in all directions, should an accident occur. Technological advancements ensure that the powerful engine is kept grounded despite the light external body.

Some prefer to watch a race that is driven on an asphalt track, while others feel inspired by the more rugged oval dirt track. Each one has its advantages and disadvantages, however, the skilled drivers are well equipped to deal with the required knowledge to cope and conquer each. Some even drive on both tracks with ease, (practice has a lot to do with the eventual confident outcome).

These include, helmets, a double layer driver suit, and of course flame-retardant driving gloves. Most of these uniforms have been tried and tested for proficiency and safety, and the driver will never race without them. Respect for the sport is imperative, and safety is probably the most important consideration.

There are many safety features which are currently in use for driver protection purposes. Apart from the obvious ones such as the roll bars and safety belts, there are diverse ranges of clothing options which form a barrier against fire. These include a full-body suit, as well as gloves along with an impact shielding helmet. These safety precautions are designed to fit well and are also comfortable so as to not hinder the concentration of the participant in any way.

Aptly there are many regulations pertaining to the safety of everyone involved, and they are strictly enforced for successful, enjoyable races. The driver for instance is clad in a non-flammable suit as well as a helmet. Their hands are protected with gloves; however, it remains a dangerous sport, and should be treated with the utmost of respect.

There is a high regard for the skill which each driver brings to the race, and they are well respected and loved for their dedication to their talent. Each move is courageously and strategically calculated, keeping safety in mind of course. As with any type of career, experience is essential as it eliminates any silly errors through the power of knowledge.

The vehicles are made to cope with the either rugged or smooth finish of the track, and the driver should always be familiar with how their vehicle handles in any situation. Many hours spent practicing results in a confidence which can lead to victory and above all; correct handling. No wings on the car, and tires which are all the same size is how each competitor presents their vehicle, but it is how it is handled that wins or loses the race!
